Could Bhagat Singh's execution stopped????.....

They were hung to death for avenging the murder of Lala Lajpat Rai, (a Hindu Mahasabha founder member). It's believed Gandhiji could have stopped their hanging, so why didn't he ?

Bhagat Singh was only 24 when he was hanged. It could have been stopped by Gandhi. But Gandhiji was not sincere in his efforts for reasons of his own. Gandhi could have put pressure on Irwin to release Bhagat Singh. Irwin & Gandhi were very close. So close that Irwin had forced a temporary truce on the freedom movement. However, he sent S Shastri, T B Sapru & M R Jaykar to plead wih Irwin.

Gandhiji seemed to believe that if Bhagat Singh lived on, his idea of "non violent" movement would get challenged.  So it is alleged that he did not do enough to stop their hanging.Gandhiji,  in fact, told openly that militant movement was harmful to "India's freedom movement".

Although Gandhiji, on popular pressure,  did write to Irwin on the day of the execution, pleading to have mercy on the three revolutionaries but as anyone would expect -  the letter would be too late.

Some believe Gandhiji was mortified that the revolutionaries of India had rattled the British. Moreover, and more importantly, revolutionaries had shown to Indians that the colonial rule could be overthrown by force and bravado. Apparently that was not acceptable to Gandhiji (So much so that his role was criticized in the 1931 Congress Session by congress itself) who vehemently advocated non-violent means for achieving the dominion status for India ( There is a belief that, GandhiJi was happy with dominion status. Rise of the revolutionaries and aggressive campaign by the rising Garam-Dal leadership forced him to campaign for "Poorn Swarajya" (Total Independence).
Also, as one would expect - Nehru played a key role in further pushing Gandhi in not taking a hard stance against the execution of Bhagat Singh. Nehru too was afraid that militant movement in the Congress led by Subhash Bose would overtake him & Gandhi- and reducing them to irrelevant members. So Nehru did what was necessary for safeguarding his political interests.  Irwin knew about the power struggle between Bose & Nehru-Gandhi. Irwin told Nehru to ask Gandhi to go soft on the execution. That is the story of how Gandhi & Nehru became complicit in getting Bhagat Singh & Comrades hanged by the British.

UFO base in India

UFO theories are probably one of the most talked about. Some people say that India's Area 51- Konka La Pass in J&K actually incorporates a UFO base. Locals of both India and China claim to have seen UFOs. However, authorities have burst this bubble, claiming that these "UFOs" are nothing but Chinese gaslights.Kongka La is the low ridge pass in the Himalayas (the blue oval in the map). It is in the disputed India-China border area in Ladakh. In the map the red zone is the disputed area still under Chinese control in the Aksai Chin area. The Chinese held northeastern part is known as Aksai Chin and Indian South West is known as Ladakh. This was where Indian and Chinese army fought major war in 1962. The area is one of the least accessed area in the world and by agreement the two countries do not patrol that part of the border. According to many tourists, Buddhist monks and the local people of Ladakh, Indian Army and Chinese Military maintain the line of control. But there is something much more serious happening in this area.

According to the few locals people on the Indian and Chinese side, this is where the UFOs are seen coming out of the ground, According to many, the UFO underground bases are in this region and both the Indian and Chinese Government know this very well.

Illuminati...... Does it exist??

If the moon landing "hoax" took over the early 1970s (don't remind Buzz Aldrin of that, or he'll punch you in the face #thuglife style), then the pentagrams, skulls, eyes, and pyramids of the Illuminati have been the most talked about conspiracy theory of the 2000s—thanks to the Internet. Type "Illuminati conspiracy" into Twitter or YouTube and you'll get a ton of results that show how hardcore people are about the theory and getting to the bottom of it. It's Roswell, New Mexico, all over again. So, what is the Illuminati and the conspiracy around them? What do they want? And, probably the main thing on your mind right now: Who's in it? C'mon, Lady Gaga has to be. Have you seen her videos? Blue Ivy? Obama? The Founding Fathers?

It's all complicated, and when you take into account most of what's been said about the Illuminati, there are a lot of moving parts that stretch many, many years. As you might expect, not all that's been said about them is verifiable, but there's some truth behind the group as a whole, which goes back centuries (to the year America was founded, to be exact)
The Illuminati came into being on May 1, 1776 as the Order of the Illuminati, or the Bavarian Illuminati, as it's known today. While not much is known about the group (most of what's written about them is in German), they began as a secret society, initially with five members—that would go on to include dukes and literary men in Bavaria—who opposed the Roman Catholic Church's power over science and philosophy, and who sought to free themselves from the church and restrictions of the government. This is the Age of Enlightenment we're talking about here, so they also wanted to "enlighten" people about their superstitions and prejudices.

But, like most secret societies, they didn't stay very "secret" for long, and people gossiped about the mission of the group. Some believed they were behind the French Revolution and had their eyes on other governments to take down.
According to theorists, the Illuminati have been conspiring to establish a "New World Order" that would set up a single government to control the planet. The Illuminati supposedly has agents who control movies, music, banks, governments, and other powerful institutions, and their influence, combined with strategic decisions, will result in this totalitarian one-world government, or another sinister outcome. Theorists have pointed to other secret societies, like Skull and Bones and the Bilderberg Group, to claim that they're front organizations for the Illuminati.

There are so many theorists speculating about the shadow organization, and each theory is different. Nesta Helen Webster's theory states that the Illuminati was run by elite Jewish people to spread communism and capitalism to divide the world, and then rule it. In the early 1900s, Christian fundamentalists claimed that the Illuminati's New World Order would be a sign of the coming of the antichrist. Two of the biggest supporters of this theory were the John Birch Society’s Blue Book in 1958, which outlined the mission of a society like the Illuminati, and Pat Robertson’s book, The New World Order.

So far, theorists have linked the Illuminati to the deaths of Tupac, Michael Jackson, JFK, and Princess Diana, as well as the 9/11 attacks, the French Revolution, and pretty much everything else.

Secret society of India

Ashoka’s ‘Nine Unknown Men’: India’s Ancient Illuminati
This is India’s only recorded secret society, and perhaps the oldest in the world. According to legend, this powerful secret society was founded by Emperor Ashoka of the Maurya Dynasty in India, around 270 BC, after a bloody battle that resulted in the brutal slaughter of over 100,000 men.
The Emperor had a change of heart after his conquest of Kalinga (lying between modern day Kolkata and Chennai), and formed the most powerful secret society on earth - nine trusted disciples of science were identified and each entrusted with a book that contained all of humankind’s accumulated and ever-growing knowledge in a certain field, that the keeper of the book would add to, revise, and perfect. This duty would be handed down to the select chosen throughout the ensuing centuries.
In his book, “Outline of World History”, H.G. Wells wrote:
“Among the tens of thousands of names of monarchs accumulated in the files of history, the name of Ashoka shines almost alone, like a star”
Some accounts even go as far as to suggest ‘The Nine’ have unlocked the secrets of immortality and retain their position for eternity. There were to always be nine of them, no more and no less, and they were to remain obscured from the world at large and to avoid any and all dealings with politics or mainstream science, instead opting to remain hidden in the shadows.
In 1923, the world learned about the existence of these mysterious men through a book. “The Nine Unknown” written by Talbot Mundy, who was a member of the British Police force in India for a quarter of a century. In his book, Mundy wrote that Ashoka’s society employed a synthetic language, so as to preserve the secrecy of techniques handed down from ancient times.
The concept was further popularized by Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier in their 1960 book “The Morning of the Magicians”. They claimed that the Nine Unknown were real and had been founded by Emperor Ashoka. They also claimed that the influential 10th century Pope Silvester II had met the Nine Unknown, and that nineteenth century French colonial administrator and writer Louis Jacolliot insisted on their existence.
Some modern Indian scientists such as Jagdish Chandra Bose, a pioneer in Radio and Microwave Optics and Vikram Sarabhai, the man behind the Indian space and missile defense programs, were said to believe in or even to be members of the Nine. Believers in the Nine also point to the mysterious Delhi iron pillar (Iron pillar of Delhi - Wikipedia), which is said to have been constructed at a time before the technology.
Indian scientists are occasionally rumored to be members of the Nine Unknown Men, and from time to time, if a Westerner should visit India and then do something astounding, he is considered to have had their help. In more recent times, the Nine are said to have assisted humanity by revealing the secret of the Cholera vaccine.
The Nine Books
Traditionally, the books are said to cover the following subjects:
  1. The first book dealt with techniques of Propaganda and Psychological Warfare (“The most dangerous of all sciences is that of moulding mass opinion, because it would enable anyone to govern the whole world” according to Mundy)
  2. The second book discussedPhysiology and explains how to kill a person simply by touching him or her, known as the “the touch of death,” simply by the reversal of a nerve impulse (It is said that the martial art of Judo is a result of “leakages” from the second book)
  3. The third volume focused onMicrobiology and Biotechnology
  4. The fourth dealt with Alchemy andTransmutation of Metals(According to another legend, in times of severe drought, temples and religious relief organizations received large quantities of gold from “a secret source.”)
  5. The fifth book contained a study of all means of Communication, terrestrial and extraterrestrial. Alluding then that the Nine Unknown Men were aware of alien presence
  6. The sixth book focused on the secrets of Gravitation and actual instructions on how to make the ancient Vedic Vimana, (likeVaiminika Shastra) on aerospace technology
  7. The seventh contained Cosmologyand matters of the universe - the capacity to travel at enormous speeds through spacetime fabric, and time-travel; including intra- and inter-universal trips
  8. The eighth dealt with Lightincluding the speed and how to use it as a weapon
  9. The ninth, and final book, discussedSociology. It included rules for the evolution of societies and the means of foretelling their decline
One can imagine the extraordinary importance of secret knowledge in the hands of nine men benefiting directly from experiments, studies and documents accumulated over a period of more than 2,000 years

Apollo chaos

Did neil armstrong actually land on moon?

As late as 1967, the Apollo program was in disarray. They were years behind schedule. Nothing was working properly. Early missions were repeatedly delayed. A fire in Apollo 1 killed 3 astronauts.
The Apollo program was in chaos
The Apollo program was in chaos
One of the astronauts killed in the Apollo 1 disaster — Gus Grissom, was so disenchanted with the progress they were making he hung a lemon off the Apollo lander. He felt they were so far behind that there was little chance of them making it in time to fulfil Kennedy’s promise.
In May 1968, Neil Armstrong was almost killed during failed testing of the Lunar lander. If NASA were unable to successfully land the craft on Earth during testing, what chance did they have to do it on the Moon?
Improbably, just over a year later, everything came together perfectly and on their very first attempt they successfully landed on the Moon without a hitch.

The Apollo landings were more than 45 years ago, yet it remains completely unprecedented as a technical achievement.
Nobody has come anywhere near to replicating what was achieved. Not even the Russians, who were years ahead of the US in the space race, ever came close.
Apollo sent 12 men 240,000 miles to the Moon and back, yet after the last mission in 1972, no other human being has ever travelled more than 400 miles above the surface of the Earth.
Despite being orders of magnitude more complex and dangerous than anything else ever attempted before or since, and despite sending men 600 times further than would ever be achieved again, Apollo’s safety record is miraculous.
The Apollo module returns safely to Earth after half million-mile round trip
The Apollo module returns safely to Earth after half million-mile round trip
All 12 men returned to Earth safely, whilst 14 astronauts died on the space shuttle program alone, despite never having travelled more than 200 miles above the Earth.
NASA today admits it can’t go back to the Moon, citing the lethal effects of radiation.
NASA administrator Dan Goldin gave an interview in 1994 where he admitted they would have to find a way to overcome the effects of cosmic radiation if man was ever to venture out of Earth orbit, despite the fact they had successfully done it 6 times 25 years earlier.
In 2005, NASA again said the radiation problem was a ‘showstopper’ for man ever going back to the Moon.
NASA achieved things 45 years ago using crude technology that we couldn’t do today, one of the few examples in modern human history where mankind’s progress has retreated backwards.

The photographs

The veracity of the photographs of the moon missions is perhaps the most widely and frequently cited issue amongst skeptics of the official story.
They point out numerous lighting anomalies, strange artifacts and other oddities in the images.
This photo is seemingly lit by 2 different light sources
This photo is seemingly lit by 2 different light sources
None of the images of the lunar module on the Moon’s surface show any kind of blast crater or other disturbance underneath the Apollo lander’s rocket engines.
Several photos appear to show shadows coming from different directions, despite only one direct light source been available — the Sun.
Whilst many of these oddities can be explained, one photo is harder to dismiss. Two images from the Apollo 15 mission taken miles apart show the exact same background, but with different foreground scenes.
2 photographs of different parts of the Moon have identical backgrounds
2 photographs of different parts of the Moon have identical backgrounds

Van Allen belts

Moon landing sceptics often cite the Van Allen radiation belts as a reason why NASA must have faked the moon landings.
The Apollo lunar module would have had to pass through this large zone of lethal radiation in order to travel to the Moon, which, according to the critics this would almost certainly have killed the astronauts.
Whether this is true or not, NASA themselves currently cite the lethal radiation of the Van Allen belts as a major barrier to future manned missions to the Moon and Mars, despite the fact it was seemingly not a problem back in 1969.

Destroyed evidence

The Apollo landings were one of the most important events in human history, yet NASA have lost or destroyed virtually all of the evidence for it.
Amazingly, none of the original film footage of any of the missions survives, only poor quality 3rd and 4th generation video copies. Most of the original plans and blueprints for the lunar module, the lunar rover and other Apollo hardware are also lost or destroyed.
Was such a cavalier attitude to this most momentous of events really credible, or was it to prevent closer scrutiny of the evidence for NASA claims?
In the era of the great explorers in the late 19th and early 20th century, most claims for the discovery of a new land or the achievement of some new milestone had to be independently checked and verified. Yet most of what we know about the moon landings has only one source — NASA themselves.

Mysterious deaths

There have been several deaths surrounding the Apollo landings that skeptics have suggested are suspicious.
Gus Grissom’s family firmly believe he was murdered, possibly because of his criticism of the Apollo program.
After the Apollo 1 fire that killed Grissom, NASA safety inspector Thomas Baron delivered a highly critical report on the state of the program but was killed just a week later in a car accident. His report subsequently vanished, heightening suspicions of conspiracy.
Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee died in Apollo 1. Grissom’s family believe it was murder
Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee died in Apollo 1. Grissom’s family believe it was murder..

But there are lots of evidence backing up the US like the moon rocks they collected, the laser beam reflector put in moon, the conspiracy supporters have nothing to prove anymore as the world already accepts this fact in textbooks.

TAJ MAHAL OR TEJOMAHALAYA?

No matter whether you accept all of this or not, it nonetheless makes for an extremely fascinating and interesting story. Take a look and decide for yourself what you think. Vedic culture has been stifled or hidden. And it is time that people everywhere realize how numerous lies and false propaganda have been passed around as if it were the truth in regard to India and its past, as well as its art, archeology, and the wonder of its culture.

An aerial view of the Taj Mahal alias Tejo Mahalaya, ancient Hindu temple complex in Agra. For the last 300 years the world has been fooled to believe that this stupendous edifice was built by the 5th generation Mogul emperor Shahjahan to commemorate one of his dead wives–Mumtaz. The two flanking buildings although identical, only the one in the rear is known as a mosque. The Taj Mahal has seven stories. Five of them lie sealed and barred concealing rich evidence. The marble building in the centre is flanked by two symmetrical ones. The one in the foreground is the eastern one. The one in the background is being represented as a mosque because it is to the west. They should not have been identical if only one was to be a mosque. In the courtyard at the foot of the eastern building is inlaid a full scale replica of the trident pinnacle [found at the top of the dome]. The tiny tower at the left near the western building, encloses a huge octagonal multi-storied well.

This is the massive octagonal well with palatial apartments along its seven stories. A royal staircase descends right down to the water level indicated by the tiny white patch showing the sun’s reflection. This was the traditional treasury well of the Hindu temple palace. Treasure chests used to be stacked in the lower stories. Accountants, cashiers and treasurers sat in the upper stories. Cheques called handies used to be issued from here. On being besieged, if the building had to be surrendered to the enemy, the treasure used to be pushed into the water for salvage later after recapture. For real research, water should be pumped out of this well to reveal the evidence that lies at the bottom. This well is inside a tower near the so-called mosque to the west of the marble Taj. Had the Taj been a mausoleum this octagonal multistoried well would have been superfluous.

A frontal view of the Taj Mahal alias Tejo Mahalaya in Agra. It is octagonal because the Hindus believe in 10 directions. The pinnacle pointing to the heaven and the foundation to the nether world, plus the eight surface directions make the 10 directions. Divinity and royalty are believed to hold sway in all those 10 directions. Hence in Hindu tradition, buildings connected with royalty and divinity must have some octagonal features or the buildings themselves should be octagonal. The two flanking cupolas (two others to the rear are not seen in this photo) are also identical. The towers at the four plinth corners served as watch towers during the day, and to hold lights at night. Hindu wedding altars and Satyanarayan worship altars invariably have such towers at corners. [Many other Hindu temples, such as those at Khajurao, also can be found to have four towers or temples, one at each corner of the temple foundation.] The lotus flower cap on the head of the dome is a Hindu feature. Muslim domes are bald. This marble edifice has four stories. Inside the dome is an 83 ft. high hall. The Taj has a double dome. The dome one sees from inside ends like an inverted pan on the terrace. The dome seen from outside is a cover on the inner dome. Therefore, in between them is an 83 ft. hall.

The dome of the Taj Mahal bearing a trident pinnacle made of a non-rusting eight-metal Hindu alloy. The pinnacle served as a lightning deflector too. This pinnacle has been blindly assumed by many to be an Islamic crescent and star, or a lightning conductor installed by the British. This is a measure of the careless manner in which Indian history has been studied till now. Visually identifiable things like this pinnacle too have been misinterpreted with impunity. The flower top of the dome, below the pinnacle, is an unmistakable Hindu sign. A full scale figure of this pinnacle is inlaid in the eastern courtyard.

A close up of the upper portion of the pinnacle of the Taj Mahal, photographed from the parapet beneath the dome. The Hindu horizontal crescent and the coconut top together look like a trident from the garden level. Islamic crescents are always oblique. Moreover they are almost always complete circles leaving a little opening for a star. This Hindu pinnacle had all these centuries been misinterpreted as an Islamic crescent and star or a lightning conductor installed by the British. The word “Allah” etched here by Shahjahan is absent in the courtyard replica. The coconut, the bent mango leaves under it and the supporting Kalash (water pot) are exclusive Hindu motifs.

The full scale figure of the pinnacle on the dome has been inlaid on the red stone courtyard of the Taj Mahal. One may see it to the east at the foot of the riverside arch of the flanking building wrongly dubbed as Jamiat Khana (community hall) by Muslim usurpers. Such floor sketches in courtyards are a common Hindu trait. In Fatehpur Sikri it is the backgammon board which is sketched on a central courtyard. The coconut top and the bent mango leaves underneath, resting on a kalash (i.e. a water pot) is a sacred Hindu motif. Hindu shrines in the Himalayan foothills have identical pinnacles [especially noticed at Kedarnath, a prominent Shiva temple]. The eastern location of the sketch is also typically Hindu. The length measures almost 32 ft.

The apex of the lofty entrance arch on all four sides of the Taj Mahal bears this red lotus and white trident–indicating that the building originated as a Hindu temple. The Koranic lettering forming the middle strip was grafted after Shahjahan seized the building from Jaipur state’s Hindu ruler.

This is a riverside view of the Taj Mahal. The four storied marble structure above has under it these two stories reaching down to the river level. The 22 rooms shown in other photos are behind that line of arches seen in the middle. Each arch is flanked by Hindu lotus discs in white marble. Just above the ground level is the plinth. In the left corner of the plinth is a doorway indicating inside the plinth are many rooms sealed by Shahjahan. One could step out to the river bank from the door at the left. The 7th storey is surmised to be under the plinth below the ground because every ancient Hindu mansion had a basement. Excavation to reach the basement chamber should start under this door.

this is the Dhatura flower essential for Hindu Shiva worship. The flower is depicted in the shape of the sacred, esoteric Hindu incantation ‘OM.’ Embossed designs of this blooming ‘OM’ are drawn over the exterior of the octagonal central sanctorum of Shiva where now a fake grave in Mumtaz’s has been planted. While perambulating around the central chamber one may see such ‘OM’ designs.

Seeing the archeological outcomes of this evidence and the subtle and discrete way the taj mahal and its structure is being exposed to public ,it makes one to think that history has to be rewritten.

Did Titanic actually sink?

Titanic Conspiracy The Ship that Never Sank

It is an historical irony that the most famous ship to ever sail was famous because it sank, but that was the case with the RMS Titanic. Then the world’s largest and most luxurious cruise liner, it hit an iceberg on its maiden voyage early on the morning of the 15th April 1912.
Within three hours, it had sunk to the bottom of the ocean, killing 1500 of the ship’s 2224 passengers and crew.
Titanic was one of three Olympic class ocean liners built at the Harland and Wolff shipyards in Belfast,  the other two being the RMS Britannic and the RMS Olympic.
The Titanic’s sinking was reported in newspapers around the world
The Olympic was launched a year before the Titanic but seemed to share its more famous sister ship’s poor luck.
Within months of its launch in 1911, it had had two serious collisions, the second with Royal Navy cruiser HMS Hawke off the coast of the Isle of Wight causing serious structural damage to the Olympic’s keel and steel beams.
Some authors have suggested that the damage to the Olympic was more serious than admitted. In fact, it was virtually a write-off.
Repairs would be ruinously expensive, running into millions of pounds. The already troubled White Star Line was facing a potential financial disaster.
The Titanic’s sister ship the Olympic was virtually identical
The Titanic’s sister ship the Olympic was virtually identical
Could White Star and its owner JP Morgan have devised an audacious insurance scam to try and salvage their investment in the troubled Olympic line?
The Olympic, the theory goes, would be swapped with the Titanic and sunk in a staged accident. The Titanic, now disguised as the Olympic, would then carry on in service.
The two ships were essentially identical save for minor differences and were moored side by side in dry dock;  the swap would entail nothing more elaborate that swapping a few nameplates and plaques.
The Titanic and the Olympic moored side by side in Belfast
The Titanic and the Olympic moored side by side in Belfast
Although not a new theory, Robin Gardiner popularised the insurance swap theory in his 1998 book ‘Titanic - The Ship That Never Sank?’
Could it really have been the Olympic that sank in the Titanic’s place?

Evidence for

Portholes

Proponents of the swap theory have pointed out disparities in the number of portholes on the ships. The Olympic had 16 and the Titanic had 14.
Photographs taken of the Titanic in dry dock show it with 14 portholes. But by the time of its doomed maiden voyage it now had 16, just like the Olympic.
Was this evidence that the ships had been swapped or just that they had added two extra portholes as part of aesthetic changes to the Titanic?
During construction — top, Titanic had 14 portholes. By its maiden voyage — bottom, it had 16
During construction — top, Titanic had 14 portholes. By its maiden voyage — bottom, it had 16

Rumours amongst crew

There was a nationwide coal strike during the launch of the Titanic.
This had led to thousands of firemen, boiler stokers and greasers short of work. Yet despite this the Titanic struggled to find crew, with many men refusing to work on the ship at any price.
Rumours were circulating amongst the workers at Harland and Wolff that the ships had been swapped as part of an insurance scam, and Titanic was to be sunk
Did foreknowledge of the sinking of the Titanic frighten men off from wanting to work on the ship?
Despite the immense fanfare and hype that surrounded the Titanic launch, it was only just over half full when it left Southampton on its doomed voyage.
Did White Star want to minimise the number of passengers because it intended to scuttle the ship? Or had the rumours of the insurance scam spread outside of the shipyards?
Several last minute cancellations from high profile passengers certainly suggest some kind of foreknowledge.

Last minute cancellations

Many of the richest and most prestigious names in early 20th-century society were booked onto the Titanic.
JP Morgan  -  the international financier who owned the White Star’s parent company, was due to travel on the Titanic but cancelled his trip a few days before the departure, claiming illness.
JP Morgan and other prominent figures cancelled at the last minute
JP Morgan and other prominent figures cancelled at the last minute
A New York Times reported discovered this to be a lie, Morgan was actually seen perfectly well with his mistress in France on the very day Titanic sunk.
Industrialist Henry Clay Frick and his wife, banker Horace J. Harding and billionaire George Washington Vanderbilt - all connected to Morgan, were amongst several other prominent figures who cancelled at the last minute.

Californian

The SS Californian, also owned by JP Morgan, was a large passenger ship that was ultimately blamed for the loss of life on the Titanic.
It behaved somewhat oddly around the time of the Titanic’s voyage.
Carrying no passengers,  it steamed into the middle of the Atlantic, stopped and waited. It’s only cargo was 3000 woollen blankets and jumpers.
What was the purpose behind this curious manoeuvre? Was the Californian intended to rescue the Titanic’s passengers after its deliberate sinking?
Edith Russell, a survivor of the sinking, was adamant that Titanic officers assured her the Californian was on its way.
Author Robin Gardiner suggests serious navigation errors lead to the Californian stopping in the wrong area - some 12 miles away from the Titanic.
The lifeboats on the Titanic weren’t sufficient to save all the passengers
The lifeboats on the Titanic weren’t sufficient to save all the passengers
With the Californian unable to complete its rescue mission the Titanic was doomed, and some 1500 passengers and crew perished in one of the worst maritime disasters in modern history.

The wreck

The wreck of the Titanic was discovered by Robert Ballard in 1985. Some evidence from the wreck supports the switch theory.
The stamp 401,  the id number used for the Titanic at Harland and Wolff, can be seen on the Titanic’s propeller.
However, some authors have suggested that the Titanic propeller was fitted to the Olympic during its repair following the collision with the Hawke.
If true, this would be strong evidence that the vessel on the ocean floor was really the Olympic.
The wreck of the Titanic was found by Robert Ballard in 1985
The wreck of the Titanic was found by Robert Ballard in 1985
What appear to be the letters M and P can also be seen on the side of the wreck. Could that be the remains of the ship's original etched nameplate -  ‘OLYMPIC’, covered over with the Titanic’s as part of the scam?
The wreck appears to show some evidence of the grey paint used as an undercoat on the Olympic. The Titanic used black paint for its undercoat.

Lack of media scrutiny

Insurance scams and maritime fraud were common at the time of the Titanic’s sinking.
Whilst it seems unlikely such a scam could be pulled off today, the lack of media coverage in 1912 makes it more credible.
Only one film survives of the Titanic and the photo record is also scant. With the two ships extremely similar, only the most eagle-eyed would ever have spotted the swap.
